June is Pride month. Pride month and related Pride events are a celebration of the progress the LGBTQ+ community has made. It’s also a time to recognize the progress still needed to achieve full equality.
The City of Kirkland will proclaim June as PRIDE month in Kirkland at the upcoming June 4th Kirkland City Council meeting. The proclamation will be accepted by PFLAG Bellevue/Eastside Board Chair Beth Lenholt. The proclamation will be awarded at the beginning of the meeting. Attendees are free to leave the meeting after the proclamation has been accepted. No need to stay for the entire meeting.
Indivisibles…you are invited to attend this council meeting to celebrate and support Pride. If you’re able to attend, please wear rainbow colors to demonstrate your support. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to fill the chamber with rainbows? 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈
